Partnership Projects

Mesa Ranger District FY2006

PACK SUPPORT

• Pack food and tools for FS and volunteer projects.
• Pack trail sign posts to location for installation.
• Barbed wire removal from wilderness.

VOLUNTEER PATROL

• Regular Charlebois Spring water trough visual inspections
• Trail condition surveys
• Use surveys (groups encountered) on weekends.
• Eyes and ears for district (illegal mining, groups over 15, fires, etc.)

TRAIL MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION

• Monthly after-work projects starting in November (day, time?)
• BCHA identifies priority maintenance.
• District priorities for maintenance.
• New construction in Goldfields pending NEPA approval 1/06.

PROJECTS

• Abandoned trash removal and pack-out. (4 Peaks, Supers, Goldfields)
• Re-claim prospecting pits.
• Assist with sign and fence installation and maintenance.
